Feel Good Gardens, Forestry Holdings, Kings Clipstone, Mansfield, NG21 9JL
Forestry Holdings is a private road off the B6030 between Kings Clipstone and Sherwood Pines. If using a Sat Nav please bear in mind that the postcode will take you to Sherwood Pines, and Forestry Holdings is the next turning (between Sherwood Pines and The Dog and Duck pub in Kings Clipstone, on the same side of the road).
Please drive slowly as you are likely to encounter all kinds of wildlife on the lane down to the site (deer, rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and so on). Some of the local residents have friendly dogs that occasionally wander onto the lane.
Feel Good Gardens is about a third of a mile down the lane - you will see two gates and a portacabin. Please only use the first turning if you require use of the wheelchair accessible ramp - otherwise, the main gate is the second gate into the car park.
Access by bus
Numbers 14 and 15 buses run between Mansfield / Kirton and Mansfield / Walesby. Get off at Sherwood Pines, then either walk back down the main road and turn left onto Forestry Holdings (private lane) from where it is a 10-15 minutes walk to the Feel Good Gardens site. Alternatively go up the road towards Sherwood Pines, then take the first turning on your right (signposted Forest Holidays). Continue until you come to the holiday park and take the turning sharp right (it is a hairpin bend). You will see the community garden about 100 yards up to your left (look for the portacabin and polytunnel!).
Shaftesbury Avenue Site
Gardening sessions take place at the Shaftesbury Avenue allotment site in Mansfield (NG19 7NB). Heading out of Mansfield on Chesterfield Road South, turn left at the Rufford Arms pub onto Abbot Road, go up the hill slightly then turn right onto Shaftesbury Avenue. The allotment site can be found through a gate on the left between numbers 42 and 44 Shaftesbury Avenue. There is some limited parking.
